Job Corps train students at no cost to them. Some of the 100 career paths are in the green industry. See descriptions of all of the programs here: http://recruiting.jobcorps.gov/en/benefits/careers.aspx While you are training, they provide you with financial assistance, a place to live in their dorms and access to health care! You can also receive your GED while learning on the job.
There are even more benefits such as childcare, job placement, career planning and driver’s education.
After finishing training, most of the programs give you a nationally recognized Certificate of Completion. The Job Corps New York center will also help you transition to a college or new job.
